Rowley leads Innovia by providing clients with the insight and strategy they need to make transformation happen. He founded Innovia in 2004 after his career as an editorial leader with The National at CBC TV News during the transformation from traditional broadcast journalism to the online media landscape of today. Rowley’s background in the disciplines of business, media, design, and architecture informs Innovia’s unique approach to the challenges and potential of creative businesses.
Rowley is a Rotman MBA, holds a diploma from the Ontario College of Art and Design, and has a B.E.S. (Architecture) from the University of Waterloo.
Basima leads Innovia’s change and transformation practice. She previously led Fortune-500 companies through complex internal integration projects, which delivered enhanced capabilities and increased effectiveness and profit. Basima guides Innovia’s clients through the changes in structure, processes, and people they need to meet business and market challenges.
Basima is a Queen’s MBA, holds a Bachelors of Commerce (Finance), and is a Chartered Public Accountant (CPA).
John helps Innovia’s clients develop and implement operational systems that improve efficiency to balance their creative and business goals. His expertise is in business operations and strategic growth in the creative industries. John is a trained architect with experience leading international architectural teams and being chief operations officer for a technology start-up in the design sector.
John holds an International MBA from IE Business School in Madrid and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University College Dublin.
Olivia specializes in the management of finances and operations. She identifies opportunities for Innovia’s clients to be more efficient and profitable. Her experience includes over a decade of management consulting in Brazil with reputed consultancies, providing businesses in financial services, retail and entertainment industries with solutions to business challenges and opportunities to improve.
Olivia has a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (PUC-MG) and a Post-Graduate Business Certificate in Global Business Management from Humber College.
Genevieve specializes in financial and risk management, operational design, and strategic planning. Expertise in financial analysis helps her identify barriers to success and pinpoint opportunities to transform. Genevieve’s interdisciplinary background includes being an auditor and controller for firms with projects in Canada, the United Kingdom, and Ghana, and experience in construction-related industries.
Genevieve holds a Master of Arts (Modern Languages) from Oxford University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA).
Minh conducts qualitative research and supports the Innovia team with facilitation, communications and project coordination. Minh’s professional experience includes experience in the academic, public, and private sectors, including a UK-based architectural practice.
Minh has a Master’s from the London School of Economics in research and design and a B.E.S. in urban planning from the University of Waterloo.
Christopher supports the Innovia team and clients with strategic analysis, project coordination, and research. Christopher’s professional experience includes strategic and marketing experience in the public and private sectors, including in technology and architectural businesses and non-profit organizations.
Christopher holds a Bachelor of Arts in Honors Business Administration from the Ivey Business School of the University of Western Ontario.
