COVID-19: Innovia launches video support resource for AED businesses

COVID-19 HAS ACCELERATED THE USE OF “NEW” TECHNOLOGIES BY YEARS

Our consultants at Innovia have been monitoring recent developments closely to understand our clients’ needs and how we can better support them. An interesting observation has been made by numerous commentators on how COVID-19 has dramatically accelerated the adoption of new technologies by businesses suddenly working from home. Architects, engineers, and designers are among those that rely most on face-to-face and happenstance interactions to drive the creative process. Within days, entire studios had acclimatized to new communication and collaboration platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Slack. Of course, these platforms existed long before last month, but the pace at which they have become fundamental to providing professional services is quite staggering.

ONLINE COLLABORATION STILL ALLOWS FOR PERSONAL INTERACTIONS

A core benefit of how we work at Innovia is the close relationship developed with clients and the trust built on this. We wondered initially how that would be impacted by removing those personal interations. Apart from infrequent connectivity glitches, we have been impressed by the effectiveness of our chosen collaboration tools. It does not feel like our personal interactions with clients are suffering. For our clients themselves, many have commented that they are interating more frequently with their teams in the COVID-19 era.

INNOVIA IS EMBRACING THE NEW NORMAL BY LAUNCHING AN ONLINE VIDEO SERIES

Starting this week, Innovia is launching a series of short videos to address the most pressing challenges faced by clients due to COVID-19. We are excited by the immediacy of this medium, and the potential for it to spark interesting thought and conversation. We hope that you will share these insights with your colleagues and peers, check back regularly for new videos, and give feedback in the comments section to promote industry-wide engagement and dialogue.

Let’s talk.
